Baptisms Christenings

The beginning of your amazing journey with God

GET IN TOUCH

Baptism is the beginning of an
amazing journey with God

for parents, godparents, friends and family and the church.
You don’t have to be baptised yourself and you don’t have to be a regular churchgoer.

  • What Happens:

During a christening, your child will be baptised with water. It starts the incredible journey of faith for your child. It’s a special day for them and all your friends and family.

Baptism services are normally held on a Sunday at a date we agree with you.

  • Where will the baptism service be held?

Normally, a baptism takes place within the church of the parish in which you live and so if you live in Winslow, Great Horwood or Addington we will normally hold the service there. If you live elsewhere we will need to discuss your individual situation but we will try to make it happen in one of our churches.

  • Getting ready for baptism

We like to get to know you a little before the baptism. There is usually at least one preparation session to assist you with understanding what is involved, what the symbols that are used represent and what the meaning of the responses that you will give mean to you. We would love you to join us at our services.
